    1. Thanks for your comment. If you were at Town Meeting, you saw that Clinton voters overwhelmingly approved a budget that gave police, fire and DPW a 2.25 percent pay raise. Other non-union staff continue to be compensated based on our recent personnel study, keeping them fairly paid in comparison to their peers in other towns.

      In addition, voters approved a local meals tax and marijuana tax to lessen the burden of property taxpayers, and approved an expansion of our senior tax exemption program, giving seniors even more relief from property taxes.

      To date, I’ve heard of no one, senior or otherwise, who have been taxed out of their home. If you know of anyone who is facing legitimate hardship, please let us know. There are programs in place to help. Thanks for your comment, and for being involved in what’s happening in town.
